Enforce your right as a parent to protect your family

In today’s world, when it comes to protecting the well-being of our children, many parents just like you are faced with an onslaught of media competing for the attention of their young minds. This is not just sexual content, violence and language, we’re talking about. Your kids are being fed innuendos, subliminal messages, indoctrination and social conditioning like never before in history. Filtering services like VidAngel allow you to pre-edit (skip over parts you choose) movies and TV shows giving you peace of mind about what your children are exposed to.

Right now there is another battle waging behind the scenes, and its outcome will directly affect your rights as a parent. Four Hollywood studios (Disney—along with Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, and Lucasfilm) have entered in legal battles with VidAngel, in a case that is sure to set a precedent for the future of the filtering industry. This is not the first time Hollywood has strongly opposed filtering services. After all, they were against the Family Movie Act (FMA), a law designed to empower parents and enable filtering services. The #SaveFiltering petition exists to enforce your right to choose how your family consumes content in the privacy of your own home before Hollywood takes it away.

VidAngel has made it possible for my family to watch so many more movies that we wouldn’t have otherwise! We used to rarely watch movies for fear of content that wasn’t family friendly. Now we can watch a huge variety of movies that we wanted to see before but now without sex-scenes and foul language. Our movie watching experience has been improved 100%!

Vidangel is an extraordinary service and will always have my support. The idea of being able to censor according to my choice/liking is just phenomenal and I am so grateful I get to watch movies I otherwise would not watch.

I love having the choice to filter. I truly don’t see what the movie industry has a problem with. If we decide to turn off their movie because of the language/scenes and tell all our friends to not watch it, are they going to take us to court for that too? Yeah, silly, but so is this whole anti-filtering thing. If they are getting paid why do they care?

Vidangel is the only way I’ll watch new movies now. I’ve been able to watch movies I never would have otherwise seen, and I’m able to watch anything with my whole family. I won’t watch any R or some PG-13 movies, but now I can custom filter movies when I’m with my kids, as apposed to when I’m by myself which gives the movies a higher replay value for me personally. I think if Vidangel gets shuts down that the movie producers should be understanding and release clean versions of their movies. They’re consistently releasing un-rated versions that a lot of us don’t want to see, why can we have a clean version. If Vidangel gets shut down I will have to go back to not watching most movies.

We love the ability to filter! Moviesin general are getting more graphic and more disturbing. There are an increasing number of scenes that do not add significantly to the plot, yet are very graphic (i.e. nudity or violence)

These corporations are ridiculous. Sounds like an anti-competitive move on their part so they make money via their distribution channels. Maybe I’ll just stop going to theaters then.

VidAngel protects our family from unwanted language and scenes we’d otherwise not even watch or rent.

I appreciate the ability to remove objectionable content from otherwise outstanding media, especially since I feel like it is often out of place, and probably included in response to some irrelevant or ill-informed opinion on what audiences really want.

With VidAngel we are finally able to watch movies with our kids that we haven’t been able to in the past due to language and sexual content. Thank You VidAngel for giving us the gift of family movie nights again!

WE have the opportunity to view movies now without embarrassment or offensive language we do not want to hear; plus uncomfortable scenes we don’t want to watch. We seldom go to movies, and VidAngel gives us the opportunity to view movies we’d normally not watch because of foul language.

One solution for the Studios is to buy out VidAngel and offer expanded service. Then the next filtering company that appears will not only have to fight a legal battle but they would also have to compete with an excellent company now owned by the Studios.
