Enforce your right as a parent to protect your family

In today’s world, when it comes to protecting the well-being of our children, many parents just like you are faced with an onslaught of media competing for the attention of their young minds. This is not just sexual content, violence and language, we’re talking about. Your kids are being fed innuendos, subliminal messages, indoctrination and social conditioning like never before in history. Filtering services like VidAngel allow you to pre-edit (skip over parts you choose) movies and TV shows giving you peace of mind about what your children are exposed to.

Right now there is another battle waging behind the scenes, and its outcome will directly affect your rights as a parent. Four Hollywood studios (Disney—along with Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, and Lucasfilm) have entered in legal battles with VidAngel, in a case that is sure to set a precedent for the future of the filtering industry. This is not the first time Hollywood has strongly opposed filtering services. After all, they were against the Family Movie Act (FMA), a law designed to empower parents and enable filtering services. The #SaveFiltering petition exists to enforce your right to choose how your family consumes content in the privacy of your own home before Hollywood takes it away.

Vid Angel is wonderful so that we can watch movies we would otherwise never watch. We have also enjoyed watching movies and being able to comfortable and safe that we are not going to be surprised with language or scenes that would inappropriate for our family.

I don’t want my kids being raised to think that Satan’s way is the right way. Thanks

Vidangel has drastically improved the way we enjoy our movies and I am extremely grateful. They have given the gift of peace of mind which is by no means a small thing in today’s culture. Thank you!

Rebecca Hollist I love the filtering system that Vid Angel provides. There are very few movies that we would watch without a filter. It is amazing to sit down with my kids and not worry that I may miss something to skip, or if I will be offended even pre-viewing it. This is the only way we watch movies anymore. Absolutely the best service out there.

Isn’t having the option to filter movies just as much a freedom of expression as making the movies without the filters? I don’t understand how it can possibly be wrong to provide an option to filter movies. I don’t like to hear profanity every time I want to enjoy a good story told by excellent filmmakers. I don’t want to be forced to watch the overly sensual scenes in some movies when I still want to enjoy the pure art that is the rest of the film. I should get to choose what I want to see and don’t want to see. That is part of freedom! I love films, and I respect film studios a lot. I want to enjoy more of their products that I wouldn’t otherwise enjoy because of those few scenes that I can’t skip. I am a huge advocate of something as awesome as VidAngel. I want to be able to enjoy more movies!

Please save the filtering option for watching shows!! We love it, and frankly will watch more movies if they are filtered— how can that possibly harm the movie industry??

Keep up the good work VidAngel by continuing to allow us the opportunity to watch movies filtered and acceptable to our personal standards

The movie industry can’t control what content I let into my home! Without VidAngel or similar filtering options, my family would not watch as many movies, period. The industry will lose revenue if we the people can’t filter unnecessarily sexual and profain content!

Using VidAngel is like having a friend who’s already seen the movie tell you (or your kids) when to look away from something you don’t WANT to see. And having that friend mute the volume so you (or the kids) don’t hear something that they can’t un-hear. Why should a movie studio or director tell me I have to watch or hear something any more than I would if I covered my ears or turned away if I just knew when to?
