Enforce your right as a parent to protect your family

In today’s world, when it comes to protecting the well-being of our children, many parents just like you are faced with an onslaught of media competing for the attention of their young minds. This is not just sexual content, violence and language, we’re talking about. Your kids are being fed innuendos, subliminal messages, indoctrination and social conditioning like never before in history. Filtering services like VidAngel allow you to pre-edit (skip over parts you choose) movies and TV shows giving you peace of mind about what your children are exposed to.

Right now there is another battle waging behind the scenes, and its outcome will directly affect your rights as a parent. Four Hollywood studios (Disney—along with Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, and Lucasfilm) have entered in legal battles with VidAngel, in a case that is sure to set a precedent for the future of the filtering industry. This is not the first time Hollywood has strongly opposed filtering services. After all, they were against the Family Movie Act (FMA), a law designed to empower parents and enable filtering services. The #SaveFiltering petition exists to enforce your right to choose how your family consumes content in the privacy of your own home before Hollywood takes it away.

Without vidangel there are so many movies I wouldn’t allow in my house—this includes Disney films! I want to be able to watch movies as a family without having to edit myself, have myself or my kids be embarrassed, or have a long talk about the birds and bees because a sexual reference.

We went from watching on movie a month to a few a week by being able to use VidAngel. There are not many movie that I would let my kids watch so I had to watch movies in advance and manually skip sections that had language, or other inappropriate images/words. Most movies were just not worth my time to do that. With VidAngel someone else has done that for me opening more entertainment options to me and my family

I have added a ton of movies to watch now that I can control the amount of language – there are movies I wont watch filtered or not based on not desiring to support the publisher. However plenty are in my range if I cut objectionable material from viewing/hearing. I can always “look away” so in the same sense I edited the movie because I did not want to see the scary scene – no difference. I choice to eliminate the audio automatically – no harm/no foul and the vid angel technique is by far the best as I actually never handle the material – technically it is data transitioning through my firewall and it is being inspected and filtered for antivirus etc.. so the argument of destroying the media is invalid I am already manipulating the material it is just at a non conscious level -

So the technique of allowing me to filter what comes out of my PC is my prerogative and I never destroy the art work from the producer this is a brainless argument -

Vid angel should be awarded a patent and brought alongside all the major studios as an alternative to redbox/Netflix etc.
