Enforce your right as a parent to protect your family

In today’s world, when it comes to protecting the well-being of our children, many parents just like you are faced with an onslaught of media competing for the attention of their young minds. This is not just sexual content, violence and language, we’re talking about. Your kids are being fed innuendos, subliminal messages, indoctrination and social conditioning like never before in history. Filtering services like VidAngel allow you to pre-edit (skip over parts you choose) movies and TV shows giving you peace of mind about what your children are exposed to.

Right now there is another battle waging behind the scenes, and its outcome will directly affect your rights as a parent. Four Hollywood studios (Disney—along with Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox, and Lucasfilm) have entered in legal battles with VidAngel, in a case that is sure to set a precedent for the future of the filtering industry. This is not the first time Hollywood has strongly opposed filtering services. After all, they were against the Family Movie Act (FMA), a law designed to empower parents and enable filtering services. The #SaveFiltering petition exists to enforce your right to choose how your family consumes content in the privacy of your own home before Hollywood takes it away.

If it weren’t for filtering services like VidAngel, I would NEVER watch “R” rated movies or any “PG-13” movies with an “F” word and/or Nudity. My wife and kids don’t need to see/hear that filth. I love watching movies, and believe that if they continue making movies with more and more swearing and nudity, more audience members will object and the industry will suffer. Vidangel makes it possible for me to enjoy more movies with my family that we otherwise wouldn’t ever watch.

There is so much talent in Hollywood – these moviemakers are amazing. I hope that the entire world can continue to enjoy there movies. But we can only do this while watching it through Vidangel, I want my children to enjoy these wonderful films as well.

Filtering makes it possible to watch together as a family and have a lot more options for my teens that otherwise we won’t have.

We will not spend our money on a movie unless we can filter. Hollywood, it would be your loss.

Fantastic service. So many great movies I wouldn’t be able to enjoy with my children, otherwise.

I love the service and support it with my whole heart. I believe it is providing my family a great service allowing my kids and I to watch a lot more movies than I would otherwise approve of them watching. My values can finally be honored because I can filter out a few scenes I don’t approve of without loosing the continuity of the movie. I never loose more than a minute or two of content, but it is those couple of minutes that prevent myself and/or my family from watching many movies in the first place. Filtering in the privacy of my home for a audience of four shouldn’t concern Hollywood, directors, or producers. If anything, this sort of filtering should be promoted by them to allow a broader audience for their films (a PG version and PG-13 version made available right on the main menu for example).
